About us

OCR Guide started from a simple observation: dates for obstacle course races and HYROX events are scattered across many organiser pages, social media channels and forums. OCR Guide brings them together in one place, alongside honest race reports and reviews from the community.

The idea

Instead of tracking each series separately, OCR Guide gathers dates for Spartan, Tough Mudder, XLETIX, Strong Viking, DEKA and HYROX in one calendar, together with reports and reviews from participants. The goal is that you can decide on the right event faster, without searching through ten different sites yourself.

How we check dates

Before a date appears in the race calendar, it is checked against the official organiser page. If a date is not yet officially confirmed and has been inferred from the previous year’s pattern, we mark it as provisional until the organiser confirms it.

Independence and affiliate transparency

Reports, reviews and editorial content are produced independently of organisers. Where OCR Guide uses affiliate links or shows paid advertising formats, this is clearly marked for you, with details in the affiliate disclosure.
